Overview
Swea Ventures ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We're a small firm, so we keep it short. We don't sell or rent your personal information.
Information we collect
Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your name, contact details and anything else you include, such as a pitch deck or details about your company. Please don't send sensitive personal information, such as health, financial account or government ID details, unless your inquiry needs it.
Technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don't use analytics or advertising tools.
Cookies and browser storage. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The site may save your light or dark mode preference in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device.
How we use information
We use information to:
- respond to your message
- evaluate companies that contact us about an investment
- follow up on conversations you start with us
- keep the site running and secure
- meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations
If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on our legitimate interests (responding to you, evaluating companies and running the site), on steps you ask us to take, and on our legal obligations.
Sharing
We share information only with the service providers that host this site and handle our email, and only as needed to run them. We may disclose information when the law requires it or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users or others. We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
International transfers
We're based in the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, including the Nordics or the rest of Europe, your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from yours.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including any legal or recordkeeping requirements, and then delete it. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it, but no online service can guarantee complete security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or limit how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To make a request, email us at the address below. We'll respond within the time the law requires and may need to confirm your identity first.
If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority, such as Sweden's Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY) or Denmark's Datatilsynet.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Third-party links
This site may link to websites run by others, such as LinkedIn and the sources cited in our research. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site and our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
